RPL

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) allows individuals to be granted all or part of a nationally recognised qualification.  It is about the skills and knowldge you’ve gained through work and life experiences.  If you’re thinking about studying or training, consider what skills you aready have.  You may be able to reduce the time it takes to get your qualification.

Every unit undertaken at SkillCentred has a set of learning outcomes and assessment criteria that must be achieved before a person is deemed competent in that particular unit.  If you believe that you have already achieved those outcomes, you can apply for an RPL.

USI Information

A Unique Student Idenifier (USI) is a reference number which secures all your training records and transcripts online.  In order to receive a Certificate or Statement of Attainment, legally, you must have a USI.  If you do not have a USI prior to enrolment, SkillCentred is able to create one with your permission. SkillCentred Funding

Certificate 3 Guarantee

The Certificate 3 Guarantee provides a government subsidy to allow eligible Queenslanders to obtain their first post-school Certificate III level qualification.  It also supports school students to access training and Queensland’s Year 12 graduates to transition to employment by providing fee-free training in high priority qualifications.  Read more about Certificate 3 Guarantee

User Choice (apprenticeships & traineeships)

The User Choice program provides public funding for the delivery of accredited, entry level training to apprentices and trainees.  It also supports the Year 12 fee-free training.  Read more about User Choice

Skilling Queenslanders for Work

Skilling Queenslanders for Work is a suite of targeted skills and training programs supporting Queenslanders to gain the skills, qualifications and experience to enter and stay in the workforce.  Funding is primarily available for community-based not-for-profit organisations.  Read more about Skilling Queenslanders for Work

VET in Schools

Vocational Education and Training (VETiS) focuses on delivering qualifications to provide school students with the skills and knowledge required for employment in specific industries.  Read more about VETiS
